In the frame

Hi, I’m Rob, a photographer in Norfolk. I’d love to know more about you and your plans but here’s a few things you might like to know about me.

I like making photos of REAL. I love the power of photography to freeze a moment in time. I’ll get pictures of your cake. I’ll get pictures of your flowers and those other little but important details. But it’s capturing the quirky, in-between moments, the things you might have been a part of but didn’t get a chance to stop and to notice that really gives me a buzz.

I have a wife and two gorgeous children who mean the absolute world to me. I love exploring the North Norfolk coast with them and we live in the beautiful Norfolk broads. I like to cook (a lot of curry!). My musical interests are best described as eclectic (lots of guilty pleasures) and I count myself very lucky to do what I do.

Norwich has been my home for the last fifteen years and is a fantastic place to get married. The city boasts numerous green spaces, including parks and nature reserves and some stunning riverside walks, all of which can work beautifully in your wedding photography. Just a little further afield, Norwich is surrounded by the Norfolk countryside, the Broads and an astounding coastline, each playing home to a fine selection of old manor houses, barns, hotels and churches.

I’m not a wall flower when it comes to your wedding photography. I love to get stuck in! I won’t be there telling you and your guests what to do and how to act but I get my best, most authentic, images by being in amongst the action. Capturing your day as it happens. Your wedding shouldn’t be stage-managed, so be yourself, enjoy your day and the rest will take care of itself!

I’ll be with you for as long as you need me, telling your story from the start of your preparations, through your first kiss, your first dance and if the party calls for it, late into the night! But don’t just take my word for it, here’s what some of my fantastic couples had to say!

authentic |  beautiful | intimate |  OMG | over the moon | cherished memories | a gift we can truly treasure

Absolutely love ALL of these! Rob, you have captured all the stages of a beautiful, happy, fun wedding day and the essence of my girl is in these photos – beautiful, happy and fun. Ditto the essence of the day – so many beautiful, happy, funny and fun moments. She and Mark look totally in love and so so happy. The photos of their sons are so gorgeous! The whole day, everything – fab! Thank you.

I was nervous about the photos and had even contemplated not hiring a professional photographer as I genuinely do not like having my photo taken. However, from the moment you arrived, your laid back approach and great sense of humour instantly put me at ease. You worked your socks off and I can say, for the first time in my life, I enjoyed having my photo taken!

Nicola + Joe

“a massive thank you for all that you have done to capture our wedding day. You made us and our guests feel comfortable, you really have a way with people. Our guests commented on how professional and friendly you were. We don’t think you stopped all day.

We are so glad we found you and that you were able to be part of our special day. Thank you so much. You have given us a gift we can truly treasure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many images will we get?

This depends on a few things – how long your day is, how many guests you have and how hard you hit the dance floor but usually between 450-500 images, each one individually edited by yours truly and available for you to print to your hearts content.

Can we get an album?

Absolutely, I’d recommend it. Better that than a USB gathering dust in a drawer somewhere. Feel free to get in touch and I can talk you through the options. If you’d prefer to make your own book then I offer a digital only option.

Do you work with someone else?

A second photographer is available if you need it but in most situations, it’s not really necessary. I have photographed weddings, by myself, with 200 guests present. I’ll happily advise you if it’s something you really need.

I feel awkward posing for the camera?

That’s normal. It’s nice to get some portraits on your wedding day but I’ll take my lead from you. I love working with couples who want to relax and enjoy their wedding day. Even when I take your portraits it’s often as simple as letting you enjoy a few moments together, while I capture some discrete, candid images to help you remember it by.

Can we meet you before we book?

Yes, Norwich isn’t short of places to grab a coffee! I’m always up for a chat. My weekend availability is limited and so weekday meetings are the norm but get in touch and we’ll get something in the diary.

Will you travel for our wedding?

Absolutely, I work throughout the UK and am looking forward to weddings in Portugal and Mallorca in the 2018 wedding season!
