Childerley Hall Wedding Photography

Cambridgeshire Wedding Photography at Childerley Hall

Elle and Sam had a Humanist wedding ceremony at Childerley Hall in the sunny Cambridgeshire countryside.

Much like most of this Summer just gone, the sun shone bright and hot but a shady orchard provided some cool shade as Elle and Sam met at the top of the aisle to say their vows. They had both written their own and they were the funniest and sweetest words I've heard. Sam's words, especially so, had their assembled friends and family dabbing at tears and laughing their heads off in equal measure. The lighting of candles, an exchange of rings and kisses and they came back down the aisle, grinning from ear to ear.

After drinks in Childerley Hall's beautiful gardens, we all headed into the barn for some incredible food from Provenance Kitchen (nom, nom!) and the speeches. A few pictures as the sunset whilst the Ceilidh band, Licence to Ceilidh, set up for some epic dance floor action. Some of the guests gave it so much, they ended up flat on their backs!

Childerley is a beautiful Cambridgeshire Wedding Venue, it was a wonderful day and a real joy to be a part of!

Rob is an amazing photographer, and a total laugh. We wanted our wedding photography experience to be fun, candid, and un-intrusive, and boy did Rob deliver. The pictures are incredible, and really capture the spirit of the whole day [...] Our wedding gallery is a perfect blend of sweet, romantic pictures of Sam and I and these hilarious, vivacious pictures of our friends and family enjoying each other. You can almost feel the movement and the laughter in every shot, and so many of my new favourite pictures of people are in that gallery. Thank you so much Rob for capturing our day so perfectly, allowing us to relive it over and over, and also for contributing so much to how incredibly FUN the day was. I keep trying to think of excuses I'll have in the future to hire a photographer again. I cannot recommend enough!

I'll be back with some more wedding photography at Childerley Hall soon! But for now a huge thanks to Elle and Sam for having me be a part of their celebrations, here's a few images from their perfect day - enjoy!

Ok, so, I’ve been desperate to get this one on the blog for some weeks now! Nic and Joe, Hautbois Hall (henceforth known as Hotboyz Hall following the most incredible speeches .... EVER!) and the most amazing, blazing hot day (for the UK at least!) imaginable!

" Just wow. Rob, we are completely overwhelmed. We love each and every single one, you have captured our personalities perfectly and have completely surpassed all our expectations. We cannot thank you enough. We love love love them.

We have had a lot of comments from people about how impressed they were with you, how hard you worked and how you just blended into the wedding as though you were a guest. We completely mirror these sentiments.

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!!! "

Nic and Joe are total kindred spirits. They just absolutely radiate love and energy when they are around each other. They are also the kind of people you just instantly warm to and want to be friends with! And their day absolutely reflected this ... everyone was just having the best time and it was bloody infectious. Absolutely more of this kind of thing please! A beautiful outdoor ceremony (tick!), a couple who don't take themselves too seriously and are totally, totally made for each other (tick!), Pimms on the lawn (tick!), wood-fired pizzas (tick), all-day sunshine (tick!), without doubt some of the best speeches I've ever heard (tick - and I hear a lot!) a guitar serenade a la Tom Fletcher (tick!), copious amounts of alcohol (tick!), crazy dance-floor action (tick!), a new benchmark in dad-dancing (tick!), crepes, ice-cream and enough sugary sweets to send me into a coma for an eternity (tick!!!) BLOODY>LOVED>EVERY>SECOND!

Here's just a few from Nic, Joe and their friends and family. Thanks so much to you all - good times! Enjoy!

Natalie and James’ Southwood Hall wedding ticked all the boxes – amazing crowd, the best weather and one of Norfolk's best wedding venues! And to top it all, Southwood Hall is just around the corner from which, with all the travel I have done around the UK this year and overseas, meant I got to go home to my own bed!

A Summer Wedding at Luton Hoo

Luton Hoo Wedding Photography

Just a few words from me today as I'm packing to go away but I couldn't leave without blogging this gorgeous wedding at Luton Hoo which took place last June, on a balmy Summer day.

Hi Rob

I just wanted to say thank you so much for shooting the day.

The photos are brilliant and exactly what we were hoping for.  It is really nice to re-live the day again and see how happy everyone was.  We couldn’t be more pleased and the only problem is choosing which one to put in the photo frame!

I loved so much about this wedding but mostly that Laurence and Kate were just so great to be around, they really couldn't have been easier to spend time with and their friends and family made me feel just as welcome on the day. The sun was shining, their guests enjoyed drinks in the courtyard and we got to spend time exploring Luton Hoo's incredible grounds. The dining was amazing as were the speeches that preceded. I loved it when Kate joined her dad to help him with his speech when he got a little choked-up! And the late evening light - just incredible. As far as weddings at Luton Hoo go, I'm pretty sure, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Huge congratulations to Kate and Laurence - I loved shooting your wedding SO much. Thanks again for choosing me to document the day. I am over the moon that you've been able to relive it through your photos - that's precisely why I do what I do!

Here's just a few of my faves and some of the fun from Kate and Laurence's amazing day - enjoy!

A Wedding at Keeper and the Dell, Norfolk | Sneak Peek

Rachael and Andy’s Keeper and the Dell wedding, near Norwich, was spot on. The Keeper and the Dell is a really unique wedding venue and was absolutely perfect for what Rachael and Andy had planned. There were loads of laughs and the bride and groom could not have been happier or more smiley! They wanted an intimate, relaxed celebration with their nearest and dearest and that is exactly what they got - there was no real formality to any of the proceedings and at the heart of it all, it was just one big party! There will be more Keeper and the Dell wedding photos soon - but for now I'll leave you with this little sneak peek!

Outdoor wedding at Hautbois Hall

A Sunny Outdoor Wedding at Hautbois Hall

Emily & Tom were married at Hautbois Hall, a wedding venue in Norfolk in late Spring but the weather was just as hot as it has been these past few weeks. And so, proceeded a wedding full of sunshine, smiles and Pimms on the lawn.

I arrived while the girls were getting ready, Emily was nice and relaxed and there was a really chilled out vibe. I spent a little time walking around Hautbois Hall, soaking up the sun and atmosphere and capturing what caught my eye before heading over to get some photos of the boys getting ready as well.

The happy couple reunited at the end of the aisle and were married outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of Hautbois Hall's gardens. Having signed their certificate they triumphantly headed back down the aisle to be showered with confetti and to be greeted with hugs and kisses by their friends and family.

Welcomed in to their wedding breakfast to rapturous applause it was time for the speeches and more rapturous applause and plenty of laughter!

Their wedding was made for me. A dream. They both looked amazing, the location was, as ever, stunning (my 3rd visit in the last couple of years!) and Cheryl (resident wedding planner) kept it all on schedule and still managed to keep me well hydrated too (thank you Cheryl! x). Great food, plenty of drink and guests that just wanted to party - I'll take a wedding like that every time!

Thanks guys for having me be a part of it all and getting me in to capture it for you - enjoy!

Wedding Photography in Suffolk

Although I'm a wedding photographer based in Norwich, I travel the width and breadth of the UK but on this particular occasion, I only had to head just over the border into Suffolk. Chloe and Danny got married at Chloe's parents home which, being an old rectory handily has a church in the grounds! This meant there was no rushing to get to the wedding venue, since it was only a short walk door-to-door. If you are planning a stress-free wedding, I recommend that you are getting married in a church that you try and choose a reception venue not too far away. Chloe and Danny nailed it with this one! Everything was but a short walk away and it made for a really relaxed and fun day.

Here's just a few photos from their beautiful Suffolk Wedding. If you are looking for a Wedding Photographer in Suffolk or, indeed elsewhere in the UK or abroad, let's chat - enjoy!
