3 Top Tips To Help You Plan Your Wedding Timeline

Wedding planners, coordinators and even your family members will all have their ideas about how you should schedule your wedding day. While you will, of course, have your own ideas about how to plan the perfect wedding in Norwich. There are so many things to consider, like finding the best Wedding Venue in Norfolk, the perfect dress, the tastiest cake – the list goes on!

As a Wedding Photographer in Norfolk with more than 10 years experience in the UK wedding industry, I have my own views about what makes for the ultimate wedding timeline. So, here’s just a few top tips to keep in mind when you are planning your wedding day schedule, because the photographs I capture for you will be influenced by your wedding day plans. To help you make the best choice for your Norfolk wedding, here are three of my top tips to help you plan your wedding day:

  1. Hire professionals: Ok, so you have a friend who plans to do your hair and make-up for you. That’s great but can they handle the pressure of a wedding day? They will have their own hair and make-up to sort out as well. My advice would be to hire a professional hair and make-up artist in Norwich. You and your friends want to relax and enjoy your bridal preparations. So, keep things stress free and hire a wedding beautician who knows what they’re doing, someone with experience and who will make sure you are looking your very best as you walk down the aisle.

  2. Always give yourself more time than you think you need: I can’t stress this point enough. No matter when you think you will be ready, my experience as a UK Wedding Photographer at more than 100 weddings is that by and large things will run over. Delays might be caused by a flower-girl having a strop, a wedding dress that needs last minute steaming or, those last minute touch ups to your makeup. If you’re planning to get married at a venue different to the one you are getting ready in, you’ll need to give yourself plenty of time to account for things like traffic delays and parking too. No matter how well you plan, one or more of these issues can affect your wedding timeline so, give yourself some wiggle room!

  3. Get a Wedding Planner: Don’t go trying to organise everything yourself. Involve a friend or, a family member you can trust to help you and keep things organised or, even better, consider a Norfolk Wedding Planner. Much like hiring a professional wedding photographer, beautician or wedding videographer, hiring a professional wedding planner means that you can pass over all of the planning and organising to someone else. You only plan on doing this once, so enjoy it and make it as stress-free for yourself as possible!

When all is said and done, final scheduling decisions are entirely up to you and as an experienced local wedding photographer I’ll work within whatever framework you provide. Even if your final plan doesn’t align with my recommended ideal, you can trust me to have the skills and experience to work with whatever is thrown at me and still produce wedding photographs that you will treasure for many years to come!
