Wedding Venues in Cambridgeshire

Cambridge Wedding Venues

Are you looking for a wedding venue in Cambridgeshire? Cambridgeshire, as you might expect, for a county that is home to the historic city of Cambridge, has no shortage of extraordinary and beautiful buildings that can serve as the perfect wedding venue!

To help you make the best choice for your wedding in Cambridgeshire, here’s three of the finest wedding venues in Cambridgeshire that are sure to provide you with a memorable wedding day and which will look amazing in your wedding photos too:

1.Chippenham Park, Newmarket

Chippenham Park is an exclusive-use, English Country House wedding venue. It is surrounded by 300 acres of secluded parkland and gardens, including a lake and woodland views!

Just off the a14/a11 junction near Newmarket, Chippenham lies just over the border from Suffolk into Cambridgeshire. This makes it easy to get to from Ipswich, Cambridge and London. Ely, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds are also close by.

The team at Chippenham Park are amazing and will make sure your day runs to plan. If there are any hitches, such is their expertise, I think it’s unlikely you’d ever know.

Chippenham Park is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and partnerships but if you are after a church wedding then, Saint Margaret’s church is only a short walk away.

This incredible venue makes for the perfect backdrop to your wedding day – well worth a look!

2.Hotel Du Vin, Cambridge

Looking for a city centre wedding venue in the historic heart of Cambridge? Then Hotel Du Vin could be the one! A former Cambridge University property, it exudes old age charm and elegance but balances this with all the modern comforts and facilities that you would expect – stunning private rooms, luxurious suites, a gorgeous little courtyard and some of the finest, most exquisite, cuisine around! And with an in-house Sommelier, you are assured that choosing your wine will be just as enjoyable as drinking it!

Available for both weddings and civil partnerships this Cambridge Wedding Venue is definitely one for your short-list!

3.The Old Hall, Ely

Spectacular is one word that sums up this Cambridgeshire Wedding Venue! From the Old Hall itself to the incredible views over the Fens toward Ely Cathedral. Within easy reach of London and Cambridge, this venue is surrounded by picturesque lakes and grounds, meaning it will look amazing in your wedding photos and will be sure to wow your guests!

While the indoor spaces are sublime, if you are looking to marry outdoors in Cambridgeshire then the oak Garden Pavilion will be sure to impress! Set within the, beautifully landscaped, Lower Garden and overlooking the lake, lawns and the Cambridgeshire countryside, it provides the perfect outdoor ceremony venue! If, though, your wedding day is a little on the chilly side then you can choose to hold your ceremony in the grand Main Hall. This room boast oak beams, a cozy fire place and plenty of rustic charm.

For a wedding celebration large or, small, The Old Hall, Ely, will not disappoint!

4.Childerley Hall, Cambridge

Childerley Hall and Long Barn is a one of my favourite Cambridgeshire wedding venues. I can get there easily from Norwich but it is also just 20 minutes from the centre of Cambridge! Accessed by a long driveway that takes you away from the main road and into exquisite countryside, Childerley Hall overlooks the most beautiful grounds and stunning landscaped gardens. Childerley Long Barn and adjacent outdoor courtyard offer even more for your wedding plans and it can host no end of people, it’s not called long barn for nothing – it’s one of the longest timber fried barns in England!  .
