10 Top Date Nights in Norwich

Ok, you’ve popped the question…or are about to…and romance is high on the agenda! I’ve posted before about cool stag/hen activities in Norfolk so we know it’s a great place to hang out, but is it date material?

Norwich has been suggested as the most romantic city in the UK – so let’s see what it can offer!

1. Get competitive and battle!

Boom: Battle Bar is the ultimate mix of alcohol and crazy fun activities. Throw axes, play electric darts, crazy golf, Boom: battle shots, shuffleboards, skeeball, and beer pong. No pressure, lots of laughs.

2. Scale the heights …

… of love! At Highball, East Anglia’s largest climbing centre you can climb the wall and show your date what you’re made of!

3. The spooky side of Norwich

Someone will be there to hold your hand, so head out to discover the spooky side of Norwich Cathedral, Norwich Castle, Elm Hill, Tombland and more. Norwich Ghost Tours are perfect for lots of giggles, stories and bonus points that it starts and finishes at a pub!

4. Vineyard Tour and wine tasting

Believe it or not, there are none other than 5 vineyards within a 10-mile radius of Norwich!

Winbirri, for example, holds “Vineyard Tour and Tasting Experience Days” from May to September where you will be guided by their experienced head winemaker, see and hear about the differences in the production methods of white wines, red wines, and English sparkling wines and finish off with a tasting of a selection of Winbirri wines. Cheers!

5. Escape the day and find each other

Clued up! Escape room gives you one hour to test your puzzle-solving skills and work as a pair until you can figure out how to escape. If you can’t escape, at least you’re locked in together…!?

6. Norwich Cathedral

Romantic walks hand in hand will come easily when Norwich Cathedral is located in 44-acres of grounds including a riverside walk and it has the largest monastic cloisters in England. If you love atmosphere, history, architecture and space – this is the walk for you.

Book a Gin Academy Experience for two and make your own recipe made of botanicals (and love!) to take home with you.

9. Romantic walks

What’s more romantic than taking a walk or having a picnic as you look out over Norwich’s skyline? You won’t find a more romantic view in the whole of the city than Mousehold Heath – there’s a reason so many proposals happen here!
