A Wedding at Ely Cathedral

Cambridgeshire Wedding Photography

It's midway through August as I write this, one of the busiest months in my wedding calendar but I have neglected my blog long enough so, here's one of the first weddings I photographed this year from the very wet, windy but equally, very wonderful wedding of Clara and Errol at Willow Grange Farm and  Ely Cathedral, in Cambridgeshire.

One of the most magnificent cathedrals in East Anglia (Norwich Cathedral is also a favourite of course!), Ely Cathedral is absolutely awe inspiring and was an incredible backdrop to the proceedings. Willow Grange provided the perfect spot for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. It was an amazing party!

The wind whipping around the cathedral meant we couldn't hang around too long, a few people lost their hats in the short time we spent outside. So, after exiting to applause and a shower of confetti everyone made their way to the farm where, fortunately, the marquee was still standing, in spite of loosing it's tie-down straps during the bridal preparations - did I mention it was a little windy!

In spite of the weather, this crowd enjoyed every minute of the day - an absolutely perfect crowd to kick my year off with! I have more weddings in Cambridge later in the year but these guys have set the bar high!

It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside Emil Boczek and the ever lovely, Ashley from Primp, Powder, Pout on the wedding make-up!

Here are just a few highlights - enjoy!
