A City Wedding at the Halls in Norwich

A relaxed City Wedding in Norwich

It’s no secret that I love a city wedding. Jade and Joe's celebrations are a prime example of why!

I first met them in a coffee shop, not far from home, in Norwich. I knew instantly that I wanted to be their wedding photographer. Warm and funny, they just fit and their plans for a relaxed city wedding in Norwich sounded right up my street.

As blue skies and sunshine set the scene, I joined Jade and her bridesmaids at the Maids Head Hotel, where makeup artist, Melissa Abel and hairstylist, Lisa Frost were helping them prepare for the day. After an emotional dress reveal (see below!), to her mum, dad, brother and bridesmaids, everyone made the short walk up Elm Hill to the Halls.

We enjoyed a beautiful ceremony in the Crypt and Becket's Chapel, before another short walk, through the Norwich lanes, to the Belgian Monk, where everyone enjoyed fine food, great beers and some cracking speeches, filled with plenty of loving glances, tears and belly aching laughs!

Later in the day, I took Jade and Joe on a little stroll along the river and back up Elm Hill, for a few portraits, before their evening reception at St Andrew's Hall, where they ripped up the dance floor!

Everything about this wedding day was really special but at heart, it was simply great fun and a way for Jade and Joe to share their excitement with their friends and family - exactly what they told me they wanted in that coffee shop, more than a year ago and precisely what they delivered, with a little help from, talented wedding planner, Chenai and One Curious Dream!

If you're planning a city wedding for Summer 2020, I have one Saturday in June, one in July and two in August, at the moment. I would love to hear about your plans!

For now, here's a small selection of some of my personal favourite moments - thank you Jade and Joe, it was a real joy to photograph - enjoy!
