North Norfolk Family Photography

A few years ago I photographed a wedding at Hautbois Hall for a truly wonderful couple.

It was the kind of wedding where I just really clicked with the people and felt like I was photographing the wedding of close friends. In fact, I remember being asked by one of the guests at this wedding how long I'd know the bride and groom. She had picked up on this same vibe and was surprised to learn that I hadn't met them before that day.

Fast forward a few years and this wonderful couple have become a beautiful family of four.

Spending time with them again, a few weeks ago for their family photography, felt just as easy going, fun and relaxed, as their wedding day.

We started the day over coffee, eggs and bacon which, isn't a prerequisite to these shoots but certainly helped to give me the energy to keep up with their little ones.

We spent the morning catching up about their wedding day. We shared stories and memories,  talked about their favourite wedding photos and made new photos. Photos of them just being together, mosty simple things, like breakfast together, playing with toy cars, make believe, books and cuddles. Simple but full of magic. And pictures which, I hope, will also become new family favourites.

It was over all too quickly but from the message Nicola sent me after the shoot, I'm hoping it won't be too long before we all catch up again.

"They're absolutely incredible. Totally overwhelmed. Thank you so so so so much. Really we will treasure them forever [...] We've said that we'd like to do it every few years now as the children grow and we wouldn't dream of going to anyone else, you really are so naturally gifted in capturing the essence of a scene. Your photos are so much more than a still."

Thank you all for having me over. I had the best time and I hope you will continue to look back on these pictures for years to come!

Would you like photos of your children, your family, relaxing at home, not posing in a studio, not staged, not intrusive but just enjoying being together, making memories together? Then look me up. It's what I do.

For now, I hope you'll enjoy these pics and I'll speak to you soon.
