2018

2009 - 2019

2018 has been and gone and this is where I'm meant to wax lyrical about how amazing all my clients have been this past year and how excited I am to get going again in 2019. And I will, because they absolutely have been! My 2018 couples have been fantastic and I owe each and every one so much for trusting me and for inviting me to be their wedding photographer. Sometimes, I can't believe I get to do this and to keep doing it but I guess I must be doing something right, I photographed my first wedding in 2009, a decade ago!

2018

2018 saw me off to a beautiful destination wedding in Portugal and another amazing destination wedding in Mallorca both of which were incredible experiences. It meant so much to be taken away for these weddings, even more so because it was with people who I've met at other weddings I photographed! I also had the pleasure of two weddings at Childerley Hall, as well as weddings at Bressingham Hall, Bruisyard Hall, Godwick Hall, the Keeper and the Dell, Hautbois Hall and Luton Hoo, amongst others!  My 2019 season is pretty much fully booked now and while most of my weddings this year are in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, I'll be visiting all around the UK for weddings this year, taking to the air and foreign climes again in 2020!

Where next!

I can not wait to get going on my first wedding of the year at the Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire- it looks stunning! I'm also looking forward to returning to Voewood, Pentney Abbey, Oxnead Hall, Bressingham Hall and the Georgian Townhouse to name but a few. I'm also really looking forward to a wedding at Ely Cathedral, the last time I was there was as a choir boy and that was a while back!

All about moments

It's fair to say, over the past 10 years, my style has changed a little, here and there. If you're new to my work and want to know more about my style and approach then have a read here! While I've dabbled with different styles, the overriding emphasis in my work has always been on moments. I love a great portrait but when it comes to looking back on your wedding photos, it will be those fleeting moments in time that perhaps no one but your photographer saw that you'll truly treasure and which will most likely make your wedding album.

My faves

It’s never an easy task but as ever, I’ve tried to choose images that first and foremost put a smile on my face. It's a subjective thing, I could do this exercise again next month and might come out with a different selection but for the most part, these are the images that would still stand out for me - photos, I hope, will give you an idea of how I work and how I like to tell the story of a wedding day.

The header image? Well, this image was chosen by my little girl for no other reason than it stood out to her the most and something about princesses ;-) This same image also won an award from the Wedding Photojournalist Association this year but my little girl's love for it, as well as knowing it's a favourite of the bride herself, is why that's up there!

Thank you!

Energetic | Fun | Candid | The Best Decision We Made - Just some of the words my couples used to describe their wedding photography in 2018. If you like what you see, if they make you smile too and you’re getting married in 2019 or 2020, then get in touch and tell me about your plans.

A special thank you too to, Mr Craig Macaulay for second shooting with me this year - I tend to work alone for the most part but every so often, I take someone on, if they show promise and this guy is definitely up and coming. He's as been great company, produced some stunning work and I can't wait to see what he does in future! He also sent me a lovely box of chocolates in time for Xmas so he's definitely good in my book!

A massive thanks to all the suppliers I worked with this year too, hair and make-up artists, DJ's, wedding bands, wedding planners and some amazing Norfolk wedding caterers, there's too many to mention all by name but they are all people who I love to work with and happily recommend!

I've truly loved being a part of all the weddings I got to go to this year. Thanks again, so, so much, to everyone who I've worked with this year and to those who chose me to be their wedding photographer in 2018, as well as those who have already booked me for their wedding photography for 2019 and into 2020! I really am so grateful - much love - enjoy!
